American Idol Audition Song

Just out of curiosity, what song would you sing if you were to audition for American Idol?

Assuming I could sing, I would probably choose "Little Bird" by Annie Lennox. I love, love, love to sing it in my car. I like how its kind of a belty song, but still up-tempo and not a slow ballad.

Then, if I had the legs and the dance moves (and again, the voice) I would sing "Proud Mary" by Tina Turner when I got to the top 12. Lets face it, with my legs, voice, and dance moves, I'm a shoe-in for top 12!

Lurkers, leave me a comment and let me know what you would sing!

For me, it would be Band of Gold. Remember when Kimberly Locke and Frenchie Davis sang that at the first round auditions? So awesome!

I also wouldn't mind singing Sin Wagon from the Dixie Chicks. I remember there was one year where someone sang that on Idol, but they made her change "mattress dancing" to "crazy dancing." You know, because they NEVER allow a song that refers to sex on a family show.

Probably Baby Got Back.

And how did Nikol beat me? Your post just popped up on my Reader!

Baby Got Back is totally what I open with at karaoke. When I get to the part that says "Unh, double-up! Unh! Unh!" I do this awesome pole dancer hip thrust thing. Its a real crowd pleaser.

I would sing the Gravity song from Wicked. I kill with that song in my car. Just don't turn the volume down enough to where you can actually hear my voice.
